Has 5 courts (3 astro, 2 American-style grey clay), a hitting wall and a club house…set with some grassed areas and viewing points; very close to M5 junction 24 |
Martock Tennis Club 4 individually netted courts and a clubhouse; next to a children’s play area and playing fields (with skateboard park and dogs allowed) |

5 astro courts and a clubhouse (playpark just outside the gate) …a new facility which was completed in 2015 |
Sherborne Boys’ School 3 hard courts and 3 summer-use Grass Courts;to extend court capacity, has reciprocal agreements for use of Girls’ School (7 courts) and Tennis Club |

Sherborne Tennis Club 8 courts (4 artificial clay, 4 hard court), a hitting wall (with mini-red courts) and a large clubhouse … courts/clubhouse refurbished in 2017;located on the Terrace Playing Fields

Wincanton Tennis Club
4 courts and a clubhouse; located next to playing fields and a 6-a-side football court … tennis counrts refurbished in purple/green (wimbledon) colours in 2015 |

4 courts and a clubhouse; next to social club and playpark within Johnson Park … 4th court added in 2014 and 3 courts resurfaced in 2017 |

There are three 3-court venues in the SSTDG which host tournaments

Sometimes a limited 1-day Grade 5 is run there; sometimes club-run Ratings (Grade 6’s)
There are two 2-court venues in the SSTDG which regularly host club-run Grade 6’s (i.e beginner-level ratings tournaments) – Somerton and Queen Camel – so ideal introductory events of mini-players and yellow-ball players rated 8.2-10.2
David Kirkman is the SSTG Tennis Competition Coordinator – so organises/promotes all SSTDG tournaments; He referees all Grade 4/5 tournaments (except those at Yeovil, refereed by Mark Pollard)

There are other venues just outside the South Somerset area – the larger (3+ courts) of which are in Shaftesbury (Griffin Academy), Street, Wells, and Cheddar…some have/do schedule tournaments
